In this project, we have designed a function generator which can generate sine, saw tooth, triangular and square waveform of varying frequency. It has been implemented by using an 8085 microprocessor, Digital to Analog converter (R2R ladder), 32k ROM and RAM, Omron switches, latches, LEDs, decoders, buffer, resistors and capacitors. The input is taken via 6 DIP switches- 4 switches are used to select the type of waveform and 2 switches are used to control the frequency of the selected waveform. The output of the function generator is displayed on a CRO.
